The partnership will facilitate mutual capacity building through targeted, transformative training programs tailored to each party’s strengths.

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and Uganda’s National Resistance Movement (NRM) have formalized a collaborative framework aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two political parties.

In a joint statement released at Hustler Plaza, UDA Secretary General Senator Hassan Omar and his NRM counterpart Richard Todwong announced that the partnership will facilitate mutual capacity building through targeted, transformative training programs tailored to each party’s strengths.

During the engagement, the NRM team gained insights into the operations of Kenya’s Presidential Economic Council and its role in advancing the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

In return, UDA members are set to benefit from leadership development sessions at Uganda’s National Leadership Institute (NALI) in Kyankwanzi.

During their three-day official visit to the country, the NRM delegation met with Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja and toured the affordable housing project in Kibra before departing for Kampala.

Present at the meeting were UDA National Treasurer Japheth Nyakundi, Deputy Secretary General Omboko Milemba and Deputy Executive Director Brian Mbugua.

Others are Directors Daniel Kiptoo, Rob Jillo, Grace Gicovi, Nathaniel Mong'are, Margaret Ndanyi, Sam Mwangi, Halake Waqo, Joseph Mulili, among others.
